What Happens In the Cloud…Stay In the Cloud!

OK, the Cloud is not Vegas, but I thought this had a nice ring to it.

Recently, members of the Cloud Services For MSPs team traveled to meet with our peer group. We shared the importance of our peer group with other technology firms that meet each quarter to share insights into the IT market and how to improve our services. This month, Las Vegas was our destination.

Our meetings are made up of 15 or so organizations from across the US and Canada. Each quarter, we have the opportunity to share how business is going in general, solicit feedback from our peers on what we can do better, and reach out for assistance from others who may have walked a mile or two in our shoes before.

Our peer group is always enlightened after these meetings, and we go home with new ideas and strategies that bring value to local organizations and our partners.

So the old saying of “What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas,” doesn’t really apply here… We brought home so many great ideas, and we managed to sneak them out of Vegas without any issues at all!

Everywhere in Vegas, businesses are impacted by cloud technologies. From the largest hotels to the smallest shops on and off the strip. Business today is running on the Cloud; from CRM solutions to point-of-sale systems and ERP solutions, the Cloud touches every part of business today.

Why Are The Cloud & Community Tied To One Another?

One thing that was crystal clear from our trip this quarter was the importance of the Cloud and also the importance of community. The Cloud also requires a strong community to support it.

Today, many software companies, IT service providers and technology professionals are throwing their hat into the cloud ring. You can now find the Cloud anywhere you turn, as well as a trustworthy IT professional to help you set it up and support your staff members.

Our communities need the Cloud along with reliable and secure services that IT Service Companies and their Cloud Partners provide.

Cloud Computing Enhances Our Communities

Cloud technology has impacted our communities and people’s lives on so many levels. A simple internet connection can go a long way.

Socially…

With community sites like Facebook, Twitter and YouTube, the Cloud has changed how people interact with each other.

From the big cities to remote locations, you can connect with people from all over the world like you never could before. And it’s never been easier to stay in touch with friends and school mates from the past.

For businesses, the social media space has allowed them to access cloud-based information resources to get better insights on potential services, innovations and customer preferences.

Educationally…

Schools and universities are realizing the advantages of cloud technology and have adopted it for a number of reasons:

  • Students can take online classes and participate in group-learning activities. These online classes have reduced the cost of getting a degree significantly and make it easier for working people to take courses without the need to be in a classroom during their work hours.
  • They are using cloud-based business automation processes to promote class enrollments and assignment tracking.
  • With the Cloud, they have data storage capabilities that they never had before, and without the need for expensive IT infrastructures.
  • Now students can access data anywhere, anytime. Cloud computing technology benefits students from developing countries. They have instant access to the proliferation of websites dispensing educational material and cloud knowledge-sharing communities.

Developmentally…

Developing countries no longer need to invest in costly IT infrastructures to access data and applications. They are readily available in the Cloud. This includes applications like those for education, but also for health, science, banking, agriculture and more.

Countries are now using smart mobile technology to tap into telecom services. They have bypassed using traditional copper wire infrastructure because of their remote locations. The Cloud provides the access they need.

Healthcare…

Cloud technology in the healthcare industry is now commonplace with secure patient data sharing among medical professionals. Patients can check their healthcare treatment, prescription status and treatment follow-ups. This not only provides convenience and promotes patient-centered care, but it also reduces operational costs for data storage.

Healthcare providers and patients can access this data through devices such as mobile phones, going beyond the traditional intranets of the past. And with the help of their IT service company, healthcare organizations can implement a quick solution in a secure environment that’s compliant with HIPAA regulations.

Why Is All Of This Significant?

Because to better serve our communities, Cloud Service Providers like Cloud Services For MSPs, along with IT Managed Service Providers (MSPs) must work hand-in-hand to ensure our communities can use the Cloud reliably and securely.

Cloud Services For MSPs is what we call the “plumbing in the Cloud.” We provide cloud systems that MSPs can offer to their clients and communities. Together we make sure that all the hospitals, schools, banks, stores, hotels, restaurants and businesses get access to the solutions and services they need to meet growing demands from their patients, customers, students and guests.
